L A Husbands Ltd - Husbands Scores with Lift Contract
With World Cup fever hitting the UK a
Birmingham lift company has scored after securing a contract at
Goals Birmingham at Star City to fit two disabled passenger
lifts.
Husbands will be installing the lifts, which will transport
wheel chair users between the bar and café area, changing rooms
and the training facilities at Goals’ newest site - Star City in
Birmingham. The venue will feature ten 5-a-side pitches on an
elevated deck.
The installation of the two Meta 250 lifts ensures the site
meets all the requirements of the Disabled Discrimination Act.
It is estimated that the installation will be completed by mid
June and the project is worth £40,000 to the company, which is
based in Shelah Road, Halesowen.
Commenting on the project, Husbands’ commercial manager Simon
Morgan says:
“The new lifts ensure that all areas of Goals Star City are
accessible to people with disabilities. In addition to meeting
legal requirements the design features of the lift also mean
that it complements any environment and so provides the perfect
solution to disabled access. The lift can be installed in a
matter of days and is affordable and practical.”
Goals is the UK’s premier provider of new soccer centres for
5-a-side play - offering floodlit rubber-crumb synthetic grass
pitches for use by the general public.
