Videx Security Ltd - New display and voice annunciation module from Videx
A new display and voice annunciation module
has been introduced by Videx Security. It offers the features of
an LCD display and call progress voice prompts for the company’s
4000 Series of functional door panels.
The Art.4820 works in conjunction with 4000 Series door panels
to display call progress information on a single line back lit
16 character LCD display and verbally announces the stage of the
call. Using specially designed PC software it allows the
installer to customise the text shown on the LCD display. It can
be used to program auxiliary messages which can be manually
triggered by an end user.
A variety of programmable call progress messages can be shown on
the LCD display. These include a standby message which prompts
the user to press a button, a call in progress message, a door
open message and a no answer message. Up to ten user names
messages including tenant or company name and flat numbers can
also be displayed. Call progress annunciations during a call
including “door open”, “no answer” and “the phone is switched
off please try later” are also programmable.
The software enables data form a programmed display module to be
returned to the PC for editing purposes. Once the data has been
edited on the PC it can be returned and uploaded to the display
module. The data can also be saved so that it can be stored on
the PC for use at a later date or with other display modules.
Edit boxes are provided to amend each of the messages that can
be shown on the LCD display. Up to ten apartments can be
programmed and using the apartment boxes it is possible to enter
an apartment number up to four digits long including letters
A-H.
The Art 4820 has a 12V voltage input and 10 call button inputs
as well as three auxiliary inputs for customisable messages.
