TSK Group develops creative hub for video games firm
TSK Group develops new HQ for TT Games
to ‘nurture creativity’
Leading games developer, TT Games has invested in the
development of a new headquarters that will unify its existing
offices in one location for the first time, whilst providing a
workplace carefully engineered to inspire creativity. Designed
and delivered by leading workplace environment specialist the
TSK Group, the impressive new working environment at Canute
Court, Knutsford, will be catered to TT Games’ unique working
practices; designed to help the business continue to attract the
very best creative professionals.
Jon Burton, managing director at TT Games commented:
“Our biggest asset is our staff, and they deserve the best
environment that we can offer. TSK is doing a great job at
providing a flexible working environment that is molded around
the creativity of our team – actively facilitating the way we
work.”
Based at Salford Quays, TSK has worked with an impressive client
base including Nike, Sony Computer Entertainment Europe and
Morrisons; creating prestigious workplace environments developed
to achieve specific business objectives.
According to TSK’s director Andy Burke, creative industries have
a lot to gain from a well-designed office space:
“The modern workplace is much more than just a place to work –
it is a direct extension of the way a business works. Any
organisation that relies on creativity, communication and a
positive working atmosphere to succeed should understand the
impact the working environment has on a working culture.”
“For the TT Games project, for instance, we have reduced
physical boundaries between colleagues and created shared
breakout areas and resource hubs that inspire informal
communication throughout the working day. Creativity can be
hindered by enclosed spaces, poor lighting and inadequate
ventilation – so these elements have been key considerations
during the design process.” He added.
The new HQ incorporates the latest in workplace design and
furniture systems, including staged and branded storage systems
that promote the games’ characters and identify the individual
teams, whilst allowing natural light to flow throughout the
environment. Audio-visual environments provide easy-to-use
communication facilities to help staff present ideas and
demonstrate products to colleagues and clients alike. Textile
partitions between individual workstations carry images and
graphics from TT Games’ own video game titles; providing a
honeycomb network of independent spaces, rather than the
traditional office’s uniform rows of desks.
Jon Burton continued:
“One of the most impressive elements of the new office design
has been TSK’s ability to provide structured and partitioned
workspaces that do not compromise the open-plan flexibility and
the communicative culture we wanted to create.”
The TT Games HQ is expected to be completed in early May, and
will house 140 staff, with the capacity to accommodate over 200
with minimal operational impact.
