ISG Plc extends capability in retail fit out and refurbishment market
ISG, the construction services specialist,
announced today the acquisition of Cathedral Contracts, a
leading interiors contractor in the financial and retail fit out
and refurbishment market.
With blue chip clients such as Lloyds TSB, RBS/Natwest, Monsoon
and T-Mobile, Cathedral Contracts will strengthen ISG’s existing
financial and retail fit out and refurbishment offering,
delivered primarily through its subsidiary ISG Dean+Bowes.
Commenting on the acquisition, David Lawther, Chief Executive of
ISG plc said: “We are delighted to announce this acquisition
which doubles the size of our business in the retail fit out
sector. This is a major growth area for the group and we have
been pleased with the performance of our ISG Dean+Bowes
subsidiary since its acquisition in September 2005 and we are
excited about the prospects for further growth.”
Darren Hill, Managing Director of Cathedral Contracts, said on
signing the contract with ISG: “After a period of unprecedented
growth by Cathedral Contracts, joining a leader in the
construction industry, such as ISG, with its ambition to grow
its retail and financial business is the next logical step. For
customers, it will be business as usual with the added advantage
of greater capacity and resource to draw upon for their roll out
programmes and larger, individual projects. For our employees,
working within an ambitious plc environment will offer
additional learning and career opportunities.”
Cathedral Contracts, which will be renamed ISG Cathedral to
leverage the benefits from the two brands, will work alongside
ISG Dean+Bowes which already has a significant presence in the
retail fit out market with clients such as Woolworths, Argos,
T-Mobile, and Primark.
