Faithful+Gould - New role sees George in charge of largest Faithful+Gould region in UK
The director of Faithful+Gould’s Stockton and Newcastle
office, George Murray, has been promoted to the position of
managing director for the North of the UK and Ireland.
Now responsible for directing and co-ordinating offices in
Stockton-on-Tees, Newcastle upon Tyne, Edinburgh, Glasgow,
Belfast and Dublin, the changes to his role became effective on
1 April.
Having worked for Faithful+Gould for 24 years, George’s
promotion comes as part of a wider business re-shuffle of key
staff members which has been undertaken to redefine the UK
business into four new regions.
George, said“This is a period of exciting and positive change
for the business and I am delighted to take up my new position
which will see me continue to be based in Stockton. However, the
new geographical regions now in my remit mean that I will be
managing the largest geographical region in the UK, with double
the turnover and staff of my previous role. This in itself is a
major logistical challenge I am keen to meet.
“A major part of this position will be to further develop and
support the synergies with key water and industry clients across
Scotland, Ireland and the north east as well as directing and
co-ordinating a wider and more diverse range of sectors,
services and clients.
“Since I started with the company as a quantity surveyor in
1983, my ascent up the career ladder is testimony to the
commitment of Faithful+Gould to provide a varied and exciting
career path for its staff.”Further changes to Faithful+Gould’s
operational regions have been announced for London and the South
East, the West and Central.
Donald Lawson, Chief Operating Officer for the UK, said “The new
arrangement of regions is a very positive step towards meeting
our aspirations of providing greater flexibility and versatility
in delivering core services to our clients.”
