Clark-Drain's investment in new transport fleet will ensure best possible customer service

Clark-Drain, market leaders in the UK drainage and construction industry, has once again underlined its commitment to providing the best possible service to all its customers. The company, based in Yaxley, has now increased the size of its own transport fleet in order to deliver products with maximum efficiency throughout the UK using its own transportation.
The investment in new vehicles is close to half a million pounds and the company’s fleet now consists of a range of vehicles from articulated units including one new 17 ton and a 7.5 ton lorry. Their availability will allow the company to be much more flexible and efficient with delivery lead times to customers of all sizes. They will also give greater access flexibility when delivering to the major distribution centres for Clark-Drain products. Furthermore, the company’s multi-drop delivery service will also be enhanced.
Importantly, these new DAF vehicles feature Euro 4 SCR engines and take into consideration any environmental concerns through their lower emissions. There is also a reduction of derv by using an Ad Blue solution to clean the fuel. This engine technology meets legislation on all new vehicles purchased from October 2006. Indeed, the DAF vehicles have actually been voted Truck of the Year for 2007.
Maintaining the high profile and high reputation of the Clark-Drain brand was an important consideration when making the investment. The new vehicles have been sign-written to the highest standard and the sparkling “Clark-Drain Blue “ livery is a credit to the company and its experienced team of drivers.
“This year we will see an increase in the amount of palletised drainage products we can deliver ourselves with these additional vehicles. It is a very exciting move for Clark-Drain and reflects our commitment to increased growth supported by the best customer service,” says Gary King, Clark-Drain Transport Manager. Indeed, further additions to the fleet are planned for the next 12 months including brand new trailers to support the existing fleet.
