Aquastone/Medistone - Brand names for C & B Systems super hard ‘Quartz stone’ board which utilises recycled bottles as the backing. The quartz part is 6mm thick and the overall finish is 40mm
Medistone has been used in hospitals for work surfaces and vanity units. Why? Because it is very hard and non porous. It is also seen as an environmentally friendly alternative to some other resin surfaces. Aquastone (which is the same product) is used in other public/commercial sector environments for Reception tops, Laboratory tops, Vanity units (bowls are available), wall cladding and floors. The wall and floor version are 6mm thick. Floor tiles can be 1200 x 1200 or bigger.
