Marley Eternit helps Heathcote learn a lesson

Aedas architects specified Marley Eternit fibre cement rainscreen cladding panels for the new Heathcote junior secondary school in the London suburb of Chingford.
The blue panels that were used extensively over the first- and second-floor elevations were Glasal and were fixed by LSC Ltd for Kier Construction using an omega and zed system of rot-proof metal components.
Glasal is a fully-compressed, autoclaved, rigid fibre cement sheet with an optically flat, semi-matt, mineral enamel surface. Low-maintenance and lightweight but strong, the panels are resistant to fire, weather, UV rays, scratches and chemicals.
