Independent Access Lifts launch new domestic platform lift
Independent Access Lifts is pleased to announce the addition
of a new lift to their product portfolio: ‘The Countess’.
Specifically designed for the domestic market, this platform
lift provides a discreet, affordable and easy-to-use access
solution for people requiring greater freedom of movement in
their own homes.
The Countess travels up to twelve metres/ four stops and has a
lifting capacity of up to 225kg - two people or one person in a
wheelchair, yet has a smaller footprint than standard platform
lifts. This, combined with construction options using glazing as
well as steel ensures that the lift will not look out of place
in either new or existing buildings. A shaft enclosure is
included and there is no requirement for an external machine
room making this lift option quick, easy and economical to
install with very little construction work. Complete with
self-closing doors and many safety features such as emergency
battery-powered lowering, slip resistant flooring, integral
ceiling light and emergency stop button, this is a great option
for the home environment.
Commenting on the addition to the range, Managing Director
Stephen Coak said: “I’m delighted that we can now offer this
extension to our product range, which will help us to continue
to meet the evermore challenging needs of the architects,
specifiers and contractors we work with. As specialist
manufacturers and suppliers in the platform lift arena, it was
important for us to be able to offer a high quality, durable
product, in line with the rest of our range, but one that would
be affordable in the domestic arena. I firmly believe that The
Countess, matched with our expert advice and second-to-none
service levels, provide this solution perfectly.”
