Elson Hot Water - Elson will now focus on packaged units
Elson, following last week’s sale of its sister company
Rycroft, will now be operating as a stand alone business within
the Baxi Commercial Division. Elson, based in South Shields, is
one of the oldest names in water heating in the domestic sector.
Mike McDonald, the managing director, will continue to lead the
company and will focus its move into packaged heating and water
equipment as the springboard for continued growth. “ Elson has
recognised the niche, and a healthy one at that, for equipment
that will meet the challenges in new multi storey apartment
developments and renovation of existing blocks; especially in
the social housing sector. Over the last 18 months we have seen
more and more housing providers seeing the logic of using a
package within the apartment as the link between the central
boiler and, in the future, most of the renewable energy
options.”
Customers for Elson’s new CB package linking to central boiler
plant includes Crest Nicholson, Barratt, and major housing
associations.
