Bosch Security Systems - Bosch Launches New Generation AutoDome in time for IFSEC 2007
On stand Q40 at IFSEC 2007, Bosch Security Systems will be
demonstrating its total security solutions capability with its
complete range of proven, reliable CCTV, intruder and
communications technologies.
Seen for the first time in the UK will be its AutoDome modular
camera system, a new series of IP-enabled dome cameras
comprising intelligent, interchangeable modules that enable
installers to update camera functionality quickly and
cost-effectively, whilst allowing end-users to migrate to more
advanced technologies in the future without having the
associated costs of replacing the entire dome.
The AutoDome range is based on five interchangeable modules: the
CPU, camera, housing, communications, and power supply. The
flexibility is such that a ‘core’ product can be upgraded or
adapted as needs change and the design is such that cameras can
be moved between different housings when special coverage is
needed, or as site plan requirements change, quickly and safely
and without removing the power.
From its Intruder range will be the Professional Series
intrusion detectors with a two-piece self-locking enclosure,
built in two-way bubble level and a flexible mounting height.
These new detectors not only save installation time but they
also benefit from exclusive data fusion technology, which ensure
that the detector sends alarm conditions based on precise
information. Sensor data fusion technology is a unique feature
that uses a sophisticated internal microcontroller to gather
signals from four sensors: two pyroelectric sensors, a room
temperature sensor, and a light level sensor. The
microcontroller analyses and compares the sensor data to make
the most intelligent alarm decisions in the security industry.
The sensor’s tri-focus optics technology uses optics with three
specific focal lengths (long range coverage, middle range
coverage and short-range coverage) to eliminate coverage gaps
and respond efficiently to intruders.
Whilst the Professional series is ideal for commercial and
indoor industrial applications, Bosch will also be exhibiting
its Easy Series wLSN for smaller commercial sites, and indeed
residential premises. The Bosch wLSN is a revolutionary two-way
868MHz narrow band communications technology that ensures every
status message or alarm signal sent by each device is received
and acknowledged by the control panel providing greater
security, reliability and convenience than existing wireless
technologies.
The wLSN communications protocol uses encryption to secure the
data being transmitted and prevent “replay” attacks. Synchronous
communications prevents two devices from communicating
information simultaneously and during periods of inactivity the
devices enter a ‘sleep mode’, which results in an extended
battery life.
Within its PA/VA portfolio, Bosch will also be exhibiting its
trusted Praesideo system. It is the world's first fully digital
public address and emergency sound system and was developed for
the purpose of broadcasting information and entertainment and
also for voice evacuation in emergency situations. It offers
flexibility with system configuration, it’s simple to install
and offers high audio quality. The Praesideo system is designed
to be fully compliant to the relevant international and national
standards for voice evacuation and it is the first product in
the market to receive full independent certification by the TUV
organisation for IEC60849.
