POP-UP Products Announces Agreement with Independent Parts & Services Ltd
Pop-Up Products Limited, a leading provider of quality access
products, has announced today a partnership agreement with
Independent Parts & Service (IPS) for IPS to provide after sales
services support and parts for its award winning Pop-Up Scissor
lift.
The agreement with IPS, Europe’s largest independent supplier of
parts and service to the access industry, offers Pop-Up a
partner that has sufficient scale and national reach to support
the unprecedented demand for the product - which in the last 12
months alone has sold more than 1,600 Pop-Up Scissor lifts. IPS
also brings the flexibility to cope with the expected future
demand.
The agreement forms part of Pop-Up Products’ positive response
to the Working at Height Regulations (2005), which was
introduced to prevent deaths and injuries caused by falls at
work. Under the agreement, IPS will become the preferred partner
to Pop-Up Products for the servicing and parts supply for its
products.
Paul Gallacher, Sales Director at Pop-Up Products comments:
“We have seen a fantastic take-up of the product and are
delighted to be working with IPS to help us deliver the on-going
service and parts for our customers. As the most compact and
easily transportable low-level scissor lift on the market we
anticipate that the demand will continue and as such we needed
to find a partner that can grow with us.”
The Pop-Up Scissor lift proves popular as it provides a
ready-made solution for businesses seeking a low-cost, long term
investment for complying with the new Working at Height
regulations. Where the use of steps and extension ladders was
the accepted practise for low level access work, Pop-Up provides
a safer alternative.
The Pop-Up Scissor lift was designed with convenience,
manoeuvrability and safety as its key features. The access
solution recently won Hire Association Europe’s “Product of the
Year 2006” and has already been adopted by a wide range of
leading tool hire and powered access companies all of which have
placed significant orders for the product.
Tony Jennings, Managing Director of IPS, said: “Our
agreement to provide parts and service maintenance for customers
of Pop-Up’s innovative product is a logical extension to our
business. With a clear strategy to grow IPS through successful
partnerships, this addition to our business offering remains
true to our philosophy of ‘making it easy’ by providing users of
access products with a single point of contact for all their
servicing needs.”
